Vaidra
Terms of Service
Last updated: October 26, 2026
1. The service
Vaidra is a free educational platform operated by Vaidra Education, a Washington State nonprofit corporation, offering audiobooks, courses, and research-paper explainers in Indian regional languages. The service is provided free of charge for personal, educational use.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure. You may delete your account at any time from your profile page. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.
3. Content and licenses
Content on Vaidra (audiobooks, courses, research explainers) is contributed by volunteer speakers and teachers for free educational use. By uploading content, contributors confirm they have the right to share it and grant Vaidra a non-exclusive license to host, distribute, and translate it as part of the platform. If you believe content on Vaidra infringes your rights, email contact@vaidra.org and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it.
4. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no unauthorized access attempts, scraping at disruptive volumes, uploading unlawful or infringing material, impersonation, or interfering with other users. Volunteer roles (speaker, teacher) are granted at Vaidra's discretion and may be revoked for misuse.
5. Disclaimers
Vaidra is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Educational content is contributed by volunteers and may contain errors; it is not professional advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vaidra and its volunteers are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal data and is part of these terms.
7. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date. Continued use after changes means you accept them. Questions: contact@vaidra.org.
